The District has contracted
the Engineering firm of Cerrone
Associates, located in Wheeling, WV to design a
water line extension project.
The project
serves
Riser Ridge, Volcano, Borland
Springs, Jerico Road, Doyle Dry Run Road, Oak Grove Road, Ewing Ridge,
Shiloh-Tallyho, Laurel Fork.
The project
will consist of, twenty seven miles of water line and serves an
estimated 295 new customers,
at an estimated cost of $3,650,000.
The project
is currently in the early design stage.

The District has contracted
the Engineering firm of Cerrone
Associates, located in Wheeling, WV to design a plain for an upgrade to
increase the capacity of the water treatment plant located on Davisville Road.
This project is needed to meet increased
water consumption both in the Claywood Park Public Service District, as well as Mineral
Wells Public Service District, The Town of Elizabeth and to meet new mandates of the Safe
Water Drinking Act.
We will increase the
capacity of our existing treatment plant from 1.7 MGD (Million Gallons per Day) to 4.3 MGD.
Funding for the project will come from the
U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Rural Utility Service. in the amount of $ 4,425,000.
The District will receive a loan in the amount of $
4,175,000 and a grant for $ 250,000. also from Rural Utility Service.
Design is Approx 95% complete.

Red Hill / Rt. 50 Sewage Project

The District has contracted
the Engineering firm of Cerrone
Associates, located in Wheeling, WV to design a Sewer
collection extension project, for the Red Hill, Winding Road ,Dutch
Ridge and Mill Run Road areas of our District. .
The new collection system
will consist of gravity
flow and pressure main's, Grinder pump's will be utilized where gravity
flow is not
applicable.
The design plans, has been
submitted to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WV,DEP),
and the West Virginia Public Service Commission.
We must get approval from both of
these agencies before construction can begin.
Design is 100% complete.
After the approval of the
plans, then funding for the project can be pursued.
There will be approximately
470 potential customers to be
supplied with sewer service in this project area.
Thursday November18th 2004, The District will hold a public meeting at
the Free Will Baptist Church on
Winding
Road, from 5:30pm until 8:00pm, concerning the sewage collection project
that is under way for the
property owners of Winding Road, Red Hill, Scenic Hills, George
Washington and the Mill Run Road areas.
As well
as the property owners on Dutch Ridge Road currently not served with
public sewer.
System
Design maps and right-of-ways will be on hand for your review. All
property owners in these areas
are
urged to attend.
